kia Ora all
My name is Alan, Ngapuhi and my first time here.
I have a 1991 Nissan Safari Granroad and she runs smooth as silk, sits on the road like a brick and climbs like Hillary and NO one cuts me off on the road now!.
I look forward to scanning this site and learning heaps.
Again thanks all.
Mauriora!!!

I heard it was Ngapuhi that was spreading herpies to the oysters, not the other way round. Maybe it was just a rumour

Kia ora Oysterman,
Welcome to the forums.
Wow Houhora is in the middle of nowhere (no offense).
Some good 4wding spots up there though.
Im originally from Whanga's and still got whanau in the Ruawai, Okaihau and Kaikohe regions.
Will be up Northland ways soon.

Bros and Broesess,
A bit about me:
I was born in Rawene and lived in a huge town in the Hokianga called Waima. Its the place with the motorway through it and street lights and civic city centre. lol
Went to Waima Maori School.
Used to milk cows, raise pigs and grow cabbage.
Now no cows, wild pigs and a different green vege.
Moved to Moerewa the capital of the Bay of Islands.
Went to Moerewa Primary School, Bay Of Islands College and learnt enough at 14yrs old to take on the world.
And I did just that.
I think the best place that I can work with to build a 4X4 track will be on our farm in Waima. or on my brothers farm over the hill in Omanaia. Maybe food for thought.
Anyway I thought I would give you a peep at the wee oyster under the shell.
Kia Ora all.....

My father n law got his boat from Hauhora called "Michelle" washed onto the rocks about a year ago and got it through insurance auctions. now its at the mrs hometown Mangonui.
Im heading up there over new years my uncle has works for the Far North Council and is going to tell me where all the tracks are up there.

Only been here about 41/2 yrs but know lots of your Whanau. I like in the first cops house you get to as you come into Kaeo. the one next to the Police station

Know the land you mean and a few from there. Both good and not so.

Moving to Whangarei in Jan though.
Oysterman - take you work on the farms up there, which farm/who for?

Haha Yeah i look in everytime I go past and check out your Zuki in the garage. Yeah unfortunitly my whanau are not who I would associate with because of the not so good reasons (as you know). My Grandmother is the only one up there that I really know and visit and use the paddock accross the road to have a play on lol. Will have to spend a weekend up there in a few weeks and make a track into the back part of the land. I heard that at the end of Pupuke Road there is a paper road thats pretty good?
