my surf wont start. 3ye
turns over fine but wont fire, just started doing this this morning, where do i find the fuel filter on these things? is it the canister looking thing to the right of the intake against the firewall?? im thinking its a fuel thing or coil, which is a prick cause its electronic timing.
Any ideas anyone??

to make matters worse, the mrs car broke down on the way home from trying to get my car going, same symptoms, now thats stuck on the side of the road..

awesome start to the weekend, 1 week out from xmas, xmas shopping to do, a cash job to finish, and no vehicle to do anything phuck

so its got spark and theres fuel being pumped....
wtf, im stumped

Is it coughing and farting at all?
Have they got a crank angle sensor?

what type of coil pack you got dude?the one attached to dizzy or remote mount, I changed my coil attached to dizzy like 3 times before it went and lasted,bloody pain in the ass things,but yeah,you'l get a spark but not a good enough one you know what I mean

internal coil setup which i thought were spose to be bulletproof..
thats all i can think of, thought it would show signs of failing first though rather than just dieing

yeah might be that,oh really, I must have had the only shoddy ones toyota made then lol,not sure what else it could be mate,maybe dodgy plugs? I changed them on mine as well.sorry I cant be more help bro,that's rally all that went wrong on my truck

yea definatly sounds like a spark thing, ive got a spare dizzy cap and leads, might be worth chucking them on to see, friken means i gota go up the road again to where its parked
