tightenen the wing mirror screws again, to stop them moving in the airflow, pulled the spare carrier off the back, top bowing out bottom stud pushed inwards. repaired the drip rail that rubbed againest a tree, and the cable my bro gave me ages ago is good for new winch cable get the hook fitted monday, and run around the windscreen rubber to fill the gaps may stop that leak for awhile :D

Took my panel-beater, his family and his staff out for a blat on some muddy farm land, had turns in different trucks and BBQ lunch, was his end of year thing for the company!!

They all enjoyed it, even if we had to stop to repair some of the trucks in the group!!
Did get them all muddy and wet :D , was a cool day out till the rain set-in in the afternoon... :(

went to woodhill and met a couple of the guys. all the rain made everything much more fun. spent all day completely soaked and in 2wd (something in the front has given up but not sure what... no loud bang or noise when in 4wd). truck runs amazingly well in 2wd though, very impressed. i need to wire up some kind of window de-mister though couldnt see shite.

This weekend can be put into three parts
(with the compulsory over-use of smilies  )

What I fixed........

Saturday.
Found diff lock air compressor siezed
Pulled it apart, found circlip had fallen off the crank and it had thrown the con-rod off the crank too  :?
After soom remedial work it was soon up and running
I disturbed some crap joins I made from the tank to the compressor head and that opened a huge can of worms
Forced to glue it and go to bed.

Where I went........

Sunday.
Off to woodhill for a last shake-down run before I hit the BOP & Coromandel over Christmas
Glue hadn't set on compressor
So I put a tap in the air line and held fitting on the compressor until up to pressure then turned the tap off. Kept the diff locked all day 8) 8)
Had a real good play in all the rivers at woodhill
Got real farkin wet
Worked out both front inner cv's are absolutely flogged
Bound to happen, they lasted three diffs and 2 1/2 years of abuse

What to do before next weekend.........

Tap compressor head and remedy airleaks
Replace both front inner cv's
Re-bolt front cross member after jacking chasis closer together
Get a rego :!:

Until then,

Cheers,

I live at number 1 stay the fark away street
Good idea on the lock nuts i might have to get a set, or 6
They were made by Jono from DSTRBD Racing.

The outer rings are 6mm stainless steel-Farkin expensive, they can be done in mild steel for about a quarter of the price.

Haven't taken them to the certifier yet, should be ok they have the required 36 bolts (and their 8mm)
