Can I swap 8v carby intake for 16v MPI?

Hey guys, currently got a G16a 8v carb engine, and picked up a parts truck/project with the 16v MPI intake, wondering if I can put this on the 8v engine for more grunt.
Just wondering if it is an easy swap/bolt on, and what would need to happen regarding the ECU and wiring, and if it is worth the trouble. not wanting to get into the 8v vs 16v debate.
Not changing heads, just the intake manifold/injection/throttle body etc
