I'll kick off this weekend, finally got the old 302 Windsor running in what I thought was going to be a donor truck when I bought it on Trademe a few weeks ago.
Sounds fantastic and Runs pretty well and pulls like a bloody train on the road. She's surprisingly solid and as the v8 and rollcage are certed and rego on hold I think I'll fix the few bits of dodgy electrics, clean the old girl up a bit and see what the warrant guy thinks.
I'll set up a photo album and share the progress, might even get her running for the mud plug in Sheffield. Anyone know a sensible warrant guy out Darfield/Sheffield way? I've been told Cochranes in Darfield are good, safe but not stupid about old vehicles.
What's everyone else been up to?

Got a little muddy and thrashed the nuts off Lil Pig
Drove onto the trailer at the end of the day so that is always a good thing

i bought another fj40 that brings the total to 3....
its a swb with a flatdeck cab and a short deck. a 1983 model with lsd and floating axles. red in colour and my 35 inch simex fit straight on with no lift.
it will probably get my 350 chev out of my other fj if it passes a wof. i also have an old flatdeck parts truck. that was saturday after work.
sunday went 4wding with the southern trailblazers to west dome near mossburn here in southland. very interesting trip with a bit of everything. i now have a new dent in my safari, it swung sideways in aboggy bit and smacked its fat arse in to a tree. i also have no dash lights and no tail lights.
i shoud have changed my dunlop mts to my 35 inch simexes . good trip finished off with snow.

Finally got out into the shed with time to work on the lemon

Machined out a set of brackets to hold the calipers on my rear disk conversion, carved them out of 25mm alloy
And I've started building the tooling needed to machine the swivel housing and calipers for the front end brakes so I can bolt up the brakes to the new IFS hubs I'm putting on the front axle.... increase's the width by 70mm over standard
Pics soon
Cheers Reece

Saturday, Marshall for Rally of Southland & watching Roger McKay in his other toy. ('rolla)
Sunday dam flu however still tinkered on vehicle, pulled out a ding but now the flare doesn't sit properly, changed front shocks, inspected underside for dings from Haast, diff oils etc thank goodness for bash plates. Tried to straightened some plates.
