I am on the hunt for a decent Toyota 5l motor.
Adding to my original post.. would a 1KZ-TE fit into a LN167R 1999 Hilux? I liked the turbo engine I have in a 2001 SR5 Hilux I had.

Just to answer one of my questions above - 1KZ is not a simple drop in replacement it seems.

Just to add some details. Replacement 5L all ready to be slotted in. While it is out new clutch added to the mix too.
The thought of transplanting a little Lexus V8 did cross my mind but alas time and $$$ would not allow.
