96 GQ, TD42T, auto FS

Post by darinz »

Hi guys
It is time to change my wife's wagon. I've had this for 6 years and it has never done any hard off roading. It has been support vehicle for quite a few winch challenges but that is very easy tracks and trails.
The specs are
TD42t with the boost and fuel increased a small amount.
Auto with shift kit installed and aftermarket cooler.
Has drivers airbag and dual aircon. Also has a fridge in the back.
electric sunroof. also the rear windows are tinted.
I have the third row of seats but not in the truck.
This is a factory 12v truck with twin batteries (also factory)
Has TJM 2" lift coils but they have sagged quite a bit. Has OME shocks all round.
3500kg rated towbar.
Currently it has an ARB bar on it but that is getting sold seperate and will have factory bumper.
has done about 220ks and is due for WOF so will have Jan 11 WOF on it.
Not sure of what tyres it will have as I have about 4 sets to choose from.

After $14k for it and will get some photo's up over the weekend.

This has beena really good truck but i want something a lot rougher that I can cut down into a ute to be a play / tow wagon. I'd be interested in swapping for a manual LWB, prefferable petrol with pto winch. I don't really care how rough it is as I'm going to do quite a bit of body work to it anyway.

Nissan Terrano coilovers, turboed VH45, Safari axles, and some other stuff.

Still for sale and got pics? Have a mate looking at one in Wellington ATM, but will show him pics of yours to see if he's keen on spending a little more.

Yeah still there. I actually haven't done anything about it but will sort out some photo's. Basically it is black with tinted windows and plain alloy wheels.
Will try and get something up this week but have a busy week.

It is a modification that is done to the valve body. It is a kit available that increases the shift speed and reduces flaring on gear change. Only costs a few hundred $ but I would drive a GQ (or Terrano) without one. One big advantage as the reduced slipping keeps temps down and increases engine life.
The valve body in this auto is actually the one I originally had done for my winch truck but took out when I got the full manual valve body from Oz.

I'll get my shit sorted over the weekend and get the photo's up but I'd better clean it first!

Well I have photo's but didn't get time to clean it etc so you get to see it's normal state not cleaned up for sale.
It will have alloy wheels on it with road tyres. They have plenty on tread but dn't have a photo. I'll throw the ARB bar in at $14k or factory bumber and nudge bar for less. I'll also remove the signwriting. It won't have a spare tyre cover as it is signwrten with company logo's
