Hey Guys,
I'm planning to take out my injectors on my TD42 at the end of the month to get overhaul / cleaned. Does anyone know of a good diesel shop in Christchurch that will do a good job?
Also any pointers / tricks or what to look out for on taking them out would be great!
Thanks for your help

Easy to get in/out, cost me $175 to get mine reconditioned last time

$175 is a good price! I take it that was just a clean??
I got quoted $35 a piece for cleaning or $80 each for a full overhaul by Diesel pumps LTD .... is $80 a good price anyone ... I heard that $100 an injector is roughly a standard price for an overhaul??

Mine was for new nozzles etc, local retired guy does them for a lot less than the bigger outfits

Likewise I personally have had very good service here, with my Prado.
If you want to modify stuff, like manual injection pumps, more fuel or boost, Scott is very much your man.
I have seen very expensive turboed racecars being tuned that were set up by the 'so-called experts'. Huge issues. Info from Scott and then other parts (the right components) and the cars were all sorted. His experience was essential, even to very experienced dyno race vehicle tuners.

Cheers Dave. That would be awesome. Got a set sitting somewhere waiting for some tlc and looks like he would have a bit of business from a few others too
Isn't the old fella that used to work at DSL is it?

Not sure where he worked. My injectors were done over a year ago, so prices may have changed, but if he still does them, I'll pass on his details
Cheers
