newbie intro

Post by pizzle »

Hi guys...time for a bit of an intro I guess, have been trolling round the site for the past month for tips and info. Have recently returned home to Whakatane after a for year stint over on the West Island (aussie), was lucky enough to have a couple fourbys and got to see a fair amount of the countryside. Had a 90 series Prado set up for touring with all the standard mods...lifted heavy duty suspension, good rubber, barwork, snorkel, UHF, spotties, cargo drawers, rooftop camper and awning, etc, which I used to see Moreton and Stradbroke Islands, most of the Gold Coast and Sunny coast hinterlands, the entire East Coast from the Great Ocean Road and Wilsons Prominent in the south, to the tip of Cape York. Spent a month up the Cape as well as traveled through the red center, cross the Simpson Desert twice, and managed to get out of Birdsville before the floods this year. The plan is to see some of this country now, and having just bought a 70 series cruiser...Im on the way! Talk to ya all soon
