Here's a heads up folks. Get your ducks all lined up and you too can come on this, "Way up High" Safari. 16th & 17th April 2011
Saturday starts in Otematata, taking in the sights of Otematata Station, The Ida Syndicate block and the Otaitake Conservation Area, and ends after a trip through the historic Rise and Shine Road to Bendigo near Cromwell. Sunday Starts at Cromwell and climbs very high onto the Dunstan range before descending to 'The Shed' for Wine Tastings and a BBQ sausage sizzle.
Saturday alone has almost 100km of 4WDing while Sunday has a very challenging climb.
Cost to come on BOTH days is $140 or single days are $80. Price is for the Truck and 2 Adults. Extra adults are $10 per day. Children under 15 are FREE. (Commercial ventures use this track and charge $100 plus per person.)
You can register on the day if you wish but we do have a cut off number.
You will need a truck with high and LOW range with good ground clearance. Minimum good All terrain Tyres
Parts of the track is challenging (both days) with lots of Zags
and Zigs.
This is a family friendly trip. Arrange your own accommodation. Cromwell suggested.
Funds raised will help Special Olympian Tom Sutton represent New Zealand at the Special Olympics in Greece. Tom has been selected to compete in the Equestrian Events. Tom needs to raise $10000. With your support we hope to be able to send him on his way.
Email me graham@orarinursery.co.nz for registration forms or if you require more info. I'm happy to answer any quests on here as well.
