bolt on bits. Find one at a wrekers and get the parts you need. Or buy a landrover and have a proper vehicle

so its not hard at all?

dont even go down that road buddy......beacuase i would rather not be towed in my landy down that road with no power steer! :twisted:

na, its easy. It would be best to find a whole vehicle at the wreckers to take the parts off or buy a complete kit rather than peice it together. And I think the landrover will be the towee.

Easy as all bolts on, there is a difference between 8v and 16v systems so you must get the WHOLE system off one or the other ie don't mix and match 16v pump with 8v steering box.

I can do a complete 8v system for $250 + freight if ya interested, that's pump, reservoir, hose's, box and pulley.

What do you thing the difference is between the 8 and 16v . The old mans is running around just fine with a 8v pump on a 16v wagon .

Still agree easy to get system from one car :D

Hey this post is quite old :) i was looking for a vitara and found a cheap 1 that was nz new so had nothing and i wanted power steer so passed it by as im lazy :D but i now have 1 which i got for a reasonable price with all the bits and the fuel inj. motor and the nz new 1 was the non fuel inj. motor :lol:

There's a difference in the outlet size in the pumps 16v is bigger.
