ORE Guys, who wants to tag along with me out to Pureora north block (Ngaroma) Saturday week (for those within day trip distance I spose). Something for everyone , trailer trucks welcome.
Will post a meeting place and time once interest has been assesed. It takes about 1.5hr drive south of Te Kuiti b4 you're up to ya nuts in mud .
I would like to but also in the same boat no 4wd wheels at the mo unless their is some1 in front to constantly tow me lol. I think it might be more than the bfg's can handle. If it is on a sat i could prob duck up to hams on friday night if ya get stuck for a tow wopass. At least your trip their would be in style!!!! lol.

Hey Rangielux is this the sort of place like most forestry blocks in the country were you would be doing loops in and out of the bush onto gravel if so i would happy to be a spare shit wagon to help out im in a 109 landi with a wellside and since i dont have the rubber to do the bush could i be usefull as a transporter of stuff.
Plenty of loops and escape routes, never far away from a 2wd road, plenty of bits that you would get to have a play on with the landy. Takes a wee while to get there, but once there it's like a "duck" to water
im planning on taking the turn off at waikeria and following that basikly all the way through to ngaroma, i have no idea where im needing to be down there as ive never been over that side of pureora, hey madaz, seeing as your just around the corner,do you wanna maybe do a convoy type arrangment to get there, sounds like you know where your going ? i had a look on the map and the Waikeria road goes basicly right to it ? best way maybe ?

Madaz wrote:It would be good if the guys from Hamilton could meet you at the start of Waitaramona road cause this shaves about 70km off the trip for us.
Are you sure it takes 70k off? Ham guys could turn off at Kihikihi then Rt. at Parawera You still have to come down past Mangakino & back up SH 30 tho.
Where ever suits tho guys. The start of Waitaramona rd is off SH 30 opposite the Pureora forest headquarters (50mins when towing south of Te Kuiti). Unfortunitly access from the Ngaroma end is not possible.
Not too worried about numbers yet DB. Can do 6 in a group and maybe two groups me and the other tougher trucks in one, Wopass and the rest in an easier group
Yeah, we normally turn off at Kihikihi and come down past Mangakino.
On the trip that we were ment to come with you King country guys we ended up coming down via Ranginui Rd.When we couldnt find where you were we went back to Whakamaru for lpg and it was 90ks from there back to Hamilton.
ahh ok, so basikly we going to the forestry HQ ? if so i think i might go thru tokaroa/whakamaru/mangakino thru to HQ would be quicker i think for me and pete. got my drive shafts and gearbox mount done today so im getting pretty close to finishing the missile sounds like it would be a great day and a good place to do a shake down on the new mods.

Madaz will confirm but you will be going the long way round thru Tokoroa if you're coming from Hamilton Ham-T.A.- Kihikihi-Parawera-Wharepapa sth-Mangakino.

ahhh i see where ya mean, yea that looks better sweet as, will have to hook up with Madaz and follow him so we dont get lost as long as he can go slow enough so i can follow him as im gonna be trailering the missile there ....if i get it all finished in time that is

you trailering truck or driving it down ? im still thinking about goin thru tokaroa way, straighter run, more kms but might be an easier drive towing the missile.... dunno

Dunno yet, probally drive it down.
Im trying to sell it so I might have to be a bit more careful with it this time.
If you go down the way Rangielux and I are talking about it only takes about a hour as the Suzuki flies.
