Test drove a terrano today, and when i gave it abit it felt like a slipping clutch in a manual. If i just drove normally tho it was fine, What would be the prob? easy or expensive fix?

He's right.

If the price is lowish, slipping bands is an easy fix. 8K of bolts under the trans, one lock-nut and an inch-foot torque-wrench.

do the filter and oil change at the same time.

OR.... make the vendor do it in the garage of YOUR choice!!

I am gonna try an oil change and see how it goes, if that doesnt help I'll do the bands if they are cheap? how much are they?

I am reminded of the time I was the Parts Manager for a Yamaha motorcycle Agency.
We had one young feller come in wanting a new power band for his YZ125.

Its unlikely that you would have to fit new bands to the slush box, merely readjusting them to the required torque SHOULD be sufficient. THIS info is readily available from a Haynes manual or even Google!!
