413 tow hook

Post by Greenzuk »

I'm redoing my front bumper & mounting through the holes in the chassis rails. I'll be putting in crush tubes, just wondering where other guys have mounted their tow hooks? Thought about welding an extended plate to the chassis & just bolting through that. Any suggestions?
Cheers

If you decide to weld a mounting piont on fish plate it a min of 15cm down the chassi as they are a med tensil light gauge chassi so you will want a good length of weld to aviod it cracking or ripping off
If your still stuck in a couple of weeks I'll be doing a new bumper.... but I tend to get a bit carried away with mounts as I tend to abuse my toys lol
My current one is a light weight bumper nicely made but just to light for me lol I'll bend it, and it has one hook mounted on the bar in the center with an extra mount in the center of the front X member on the chassi
