Well ive only been in Wellington a week (yep still cant find where to add a location to my profile) and was going to go for a ride on my mountain bike, until I found a hose at my temporary accomodation - so then I decided to head round the Red Rocks coast. Got as far as Cave Bay and back before the rain.

Also read that thread about the $8000 recovery drama: WOW...

Ok, click on the thing above the thread title that says "0 new messages", then once you have done that, there will be a list of options to the left. Find "profile" (2nd from the top) and click on it. That will take you to a page with a bunch of boxes. Skip the crap ones until you find location and the other important ones.

Then click submit.

Then you're done. :D :D

Well changed the oil and filter today.

found a frost plug that has a slow leak so that will need to be done when I do the cambelt, rocker cover gasket etc soon.

Then put some carb cleaner in it too. You can certainly see the difference. See how it goes tomorrow I guess.

Had a mean gearbox rumble in the terrano...
Pulled gearbox out
pulled gearbox apart
replaced input shaft and front layshaft bearings
put gearbox back together
put gearbox back in terrano
Terrano no longer rumbles in every gear except 4th ;-)
Changed transfer case and front diff oil while i was at it...
Fk i'm sick of typing the word 'gearbox' now...

Friday,
Finished replacement turbo transplant, pressed out old bushes and pressed in new bushes to rear lower trailing arms. Fitted them. Glad I have gone back to my cast ones, as I was running out of those stupid weak fabricated ones. Have a pile of bent arms if anybody wants any
Saturday,
Setting winch challenge tracks with Kerry, Warren, Steve, etc.
Good day of fun. Got home, edited, posted all footage and pics to http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=23639&start=30
Sunday,
Day off at home (keeping my girlfriend on side   )
Monday,
Woodhill patrol. Great day. Perfect conditions. Drove most tracks, more than once.
Broke a front torsion bar or something around there
Lowered other side to drive home without a lean on.
Horrid ride on the bump stops
Dunno how those boy-racers do it with no springs
Great three day weekend. Roll on Easter weekend :D :D

yeah, turbine wheel (i belive) busted just out of gissy on way home, and T/Case just whines and whines and whines :(

but , it still got me home under its own steam (or was that copious amounts of black smoke), so all in all, its still a great 4x4!
