I say he is mad

Shall I take his bet and his money or is he gonna need it for the tow back? Bets are on!!!

we will only charge $7999 to recover it then to tow it back to the car park, cheaper than in the BOP....

Sweet
sucks to be him then.
Still he's the type of guy to pull this off if anyone can
I would think there is insufficient clearance to get over those lumpy bits of rock there

If Rav4's can get over there the Mazda softroader can

Hoho

A contender appears

But for real

A standard RAV4 gets over there?

Sh#t yer you can get just about any thing over.
There use to be this weirdo who would fill in the holes and drive his Mits lancer over...
Hes not been around for a few years. The concrete is still there....
Ive pulled Hyundai out off the sand on the far end of Long beach
Seen a Mits van with road tars get pull past

OK then
SO a Mazda Trib no modification has sufficient clout and dimensions to get over the devils gate

Last time I went over in a buddys surf we had a few ass scraping noises. But of exhaust and towbar it sounded like
.Chap driving was pretty careful and seemed to know his stuff
He had been round that way at least hundreds of times
having llived in wellington for ages
But a surf is (i am thinking) taller and more powerful?

The bet aint huge but it would be good to see him wipe that silly grin he has had for a while bragging bout his skillz
Still if there is a chance he'l do it, I may just slink away

Make sure he locks it in 4WD as soon as you get on the beach.

He would need to look out for rocks. Those rear shafts look mighty exposed. Hate to bend one of those.
Cheers,
