fuel consumption , road driving only

Hi,
I am trying to figure out the fuel consumption of a 1uz/toyota conversion, so lookin for actual figures from guys with a 1uz in a hilux of prado with 4.88 diffs.
no silly comments please

was told 400-500k but mine only gets 200k to a tank .... hopefully better now i've fixed the leaking fuel line

need tank size vs km to work out lt/100km

We get ~ 6k/litre with 35" simex's, prado 4.88 diffs and the soarer a341 auto.

Edit: ...and with the standard crown ecu

Hey Dave, just got ya txt while reading your post on here about it

Im on 4.8 diffs and A341-e auto aswell and with the 35in simex's ive got between 11-14lt per 100km but on the 33in Wranglers and driven carefully i reakon im a little over 10lt eh, Ive got a 60lt tank and can get close to 550-600 kms if being carefull.

But as soon as you use the right foot esp up hills passing etc it turns to custard a little.

And thats with no torque convertor lock-up either.

Used just under 100 litres to drive from hamilton to blenhiem, for a winch comp, hilux was fully loaded with gear. Running 4.1 diffs, and no lockup on the torque converter, and 35inch simexs.
Pretty much cant get it under 20 litres per hundred km.
Truck runs factory ecu, and has been checked on dyno and isnt running too rich either.

If I was you, I would budget on 20l per hundy, and if you get better than that, its a bonus

Just something else.....

When we did or first norwest winch comp in 2009,

By the end of the comp, the speedo reconed we had traveled 38km.....

And we used 60 litres of gas to do it

54 litres gets me 400-440km driving normally bit of a thrash here and there. I believe it is a 60L tank so have around5-6l when the light comes on. 1uz manual in a 91 4runner.

at least the rb30det got 100 kms on 14 litres at "warp factor" 16 psi

i got 10 per 100 in mine .. 4.88's and 35's
but then i had aftermarket management too
was way better when it was a manuel

i'm getting anything from 12-15 ltr per 100 on average(better on long distance- sits at about 2100-2200 rpms in 5th).. std ecu running 33's with 4.1 diffs and at over 2ton (BJ70).. Buddy of mine is running a 1.6 in a suzuki and we burn about the same in gas but I got more fun factor..

Haynzy. sorry to thread jack a bit, but just wondering what ECUs you fellas are running?,doing same swap as you and going with Megasquirt.Hope its a good choice.

Got a mate with a 70 series 4.5l manual cruiser and he get 18l/100km on 33's. This seems par as other websites suggest the same for standard 80 series petrols. (I have a v6 vitara and get 13.5l/100km, my old accord used to do 8-9l/100km and it was heavier and more powerful than the vit so for some reason 4x4's have worse economy than road cars). 20l/100km does seem a little high but not too much over what I'd expect.

I think its a Suzuki thing, even the 1600's chew through more fuel than you would expect of a 1000kg vehicle.
