Hi there all,

I'm looking to fit a turbo to a 14B in a BJ70 Cruiser. Finding a 14BT manifold and/or turbo has proved to be a bit of a mission, so now I'm looking to use a 13BT set up. I've already got the first bit of info I need, that the 13BT manifold will fit my engine [thanks to Classiccruiserspares]. Now on to the next stage of finding a manifold and turbo setup. I've seen to odd CT26 on TradeMe, but not manifolds. Any suggestions on where to find the bits I need? Or anybody got one to sell?

Found a post on here about fitting to a 3B, and the process will be much the same, so that will save me asking a bunch of questions that have already been answered...hopefully.

Also open to any other suggestions or cunning tricks to make the job easier.

Hi Ken, Try Fakey on here he was wrecking a 13bt motor and mite still have the turbo bits, If not i know were an exhaust manifold is but ill have to talk the guy into selling it and it suits a ct26 turbo.
In regards to the oil feed you could put a tee fitting between the motor and oil pressure sensor and run a line fron that.
My 14bt isnt a factory setup can email pics if that would help.

Be sure to post lots of info and pics, a 14B is what I'd like to put in my 40 at some stage.

Smurf; I'll be taking a few pics when I get my shyte together and start the job. Then I'll have to suss out how to post the pics! I've seen plenty of instructions posted, so I shouldn't have any excuses.

I thought I was onto something when I found a very sad 13bt that could donate a manifold. I got it home and found that the manifold on the 14b in my truck is different. The 13bt manifold is an 8 bolt setup, and my engine has 10. So I'm back to square one.
Good thing I'm not in a hurry!

Do not worry about finding a proper manifold for your turbo installation, just adapt a pipe shaped like a walking stick up-side down, something like a "U" with different length on each side and mount the turbine on top of the longer side, exhaust also custom made with proper pipe.

Easy, simple, quick and cheap, done that on my 14B, works great. Certainly it would be more efficient to have the correct direct manifold, yet the turbine provides plenty of extra power, expect something like 130/140 HP, 140 Km/h.
