Progress

Post by MNC »

Getting there with the 40. Friday night, Met up with Wopas and the boys to pick up my new 15x10" Magels & PTO gear (winch to follow).

Sat moring up at 5:50am waiting for tyre shop to open to fit 33x14x15" Boggers to new Mangels and now they are on    .

Best bit was taking rims and tryes to tyre shop on trailer towed by mums Rav4. Got some classic looks - Hes not putting those on the Rav? Is he? :D

My tow wagon - old Safari busted a trailing arm - Nissan wanted $476+GST :!: managed to get one for $65 CASH :D

And drove the newly "Farm vehicle" registered FJ40 into town (sliding around every corner) to get mounts made up for A-frame.

as for progress on my 40.. on friday dropped the chassis off to mate to fabricate bits... took chassis round to h2olova's to take back and paint..

h2olova and i went up worsley for a quick play, clay mud crap galore, and yes, old rusty had a leak where the heater switch control thang disentegrated and spat coolant everywhere.. bypassed heater and then was ok once got 7 litres of water from h2olova...  thanks for that fella, and the tools... then had to mod the trans tunnel as was knockin out of 4wd low when get bounced and leant over in some of the more challenging spots... ]:-)

saw a couple of pajeros and a granroad headin up as we were just gettin back down..

Niblik Niblik Niblik. As he mentioned he had trouble with old rusty!!
H2OLOVA "Have you got a screwdriver?"
Niblik "Only this tiny one i'm using to start the truck"
H2OLOVA "I'll get my toolbox...."

and after bodgeying up the hose.......

H2OLOVA "have you got any water?"
Niblik "No.........."
H2OLOVA "i'll get some out of my truck!"

My point is Don't you just hate going out with unprepared trucks!!!
