Anyone have any wheels + tyres for a Niva they don't need? ANy wheels will do, but original ones with original mud tyres would be good.
Neither of My Lada's have a spare

unfortunatly not, I have gathered all the spares between my Uncles, fathers and my Nivas and we now have a full set of brand new originals for dad you use offroad, we have some old used originals as spares now.
the original tyres were a very good all round tyres. most ladas out there seem to still have the original spare as most changed the tyres for NZ available ones.

And Baxter's site will give you ideas for other makes that fit. Whether they'll go under the bonnet is another matter though!

Mind you, I think tyre size is the main problem, not type of wheel.

The Fiva has no room under the bonnet, 'cos of the 'lunchbox' containing all of the electrical stuff.
And I'm not sure if I want to keep the spare under the Lada's bonnet. But I might do.
Oh well, I'll just keep searching...

They pop up on trade me now and again, keep your eye on there...
I've got a set of mint SAT's on powdercoated rims, but I'm keeping them for my own use for now. (Awsome on farm land if you don't need the extra diff-clearance!)
I'll have a look through my tyre rack next time I'm home during daylight hours, see if I've got any others I don't need...
Dogg.

Seems good to me. not sure about the overall height I am into inches.
To compare I got a set of BFGs half worn on suzuki rims for 450.

Greetings the 235/75/15 that you are looking at will ideally fit a 6-7'' rim, have a rolling diameter of 735mm.If you are trying to convert that to inches then 30x9.5x15 ideally fit a 6.5-8.5 rim and have a rolling diameter of 745 mm.Be careful in you are still driving on the road[road legal with reg and wof]because 10mm[rolling diameter difference] is borderline to changing the speedo reading.Hopefully this helps,Peter

Ok, so the guy said that two of the tyres aren't warrantable. So I may go with these:
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =354000691Do they seem reasonable? I'm thinking it will be good for my standard Lada, as Dad can use it as a daily driver, and not have to worry about wearing muddies out, and still go over the farm with them. The Wheels on the Lada now can be kept as spares too...

They'll fit with no mods so, providing there's no muddy business involved, should be fine. Check what those wheels came from originally though. Not aware of 15" steels on a Lada as standard.

all the Cossacks in NZ had ROH steel 15 inch rims fitted by lada NZ. so sort of standard wheels. good hard rims same as what you buy off 4wd bits.

All our 15" rims were alloys. Shows how different markets fitted different kit.
