exhuast question

Post by gomez »

I have a 98 discovery, it has cats and twin O2 sensors (pre and post cat)

i recently picked up a nex exhaust system - de cat,
it only has fittings for one set of Os sensors (pre -cat).

what should i do with this? just run one sensor pre-cat, or make up a fitting for the 2nd one too?

i would get a hole drilled and a matching threaded nut welded on for the second sensor to screw into.

In my 1996 discovery engine loom, only the pre-cat 02 sensors connect to the EFI computer.

The other sensors (might just be temp) went to a seperate computer LR made just for the cat converters (along with various other pointless computers)

Since you don't have the cats anymore, I think you no longer require those post cat sensors aswell.

Cheers,

Pete
