Can anyone please confirm if the 2lt-E turbo manifold will bolt up to my 3L? Engine is in a solid axle surf.

Cheers.

From what I have read you need a manifold from a early ln130 surf that is mechanical injection (89 till about 94?) not the 2lt-e just the 2lt but the earlier ln65 or what ever they are surfs won't fit either. I have not yet had experience with this (near future if all goes to plan!) this is just what I have read.

These should bolt straight up the others will need a small bit of modifying

Cheers,
Pete

PM "ranal" he turboed his 2.8 lux with the 2.4 turbo and manifold, he may still have the link to the forum where he got a step by step guide on how to do it,

just a note that i remember from doing it there is 2 diffrent 2.4 turbo manifolds 1 will work 1 wont :D,

also you will need to get a "new" (off a wreck) oil filter housing plate which has 2 outlets on it for oil (one being for the alternator vac pump, and the other for the turbo) when from memory when u take your one off there will be a bolt on the center of the thread where the oil filter screws on  (a good trap for the unawares), we left the standard out let from the block to the alternator used 1 on the new plated and just bunged the other one.

Good luck with your project any way

I would also highly recommend installing an EGT gauge, and dont let it exceed about 600 Celsius and dont turn the engine off if its above about 300 Celsius
