Well since no one else was gona start it, and I had a cracker of a weekend here goes

I worked most of the weekend, normally not a good thing.... but this weekend I got to piss off so many wa... nice people spent the weekend taking out large poplar trees on the side of the motorway between Napier and Hastings.... 10000 cars a day and I got to stop them all the power thing wouldn't normally do anything for me, but when you get so many "thankfull" people waving to us and complementing us on the job.... it made me feel all good inside to know we held them up for a while

And on a lighter note got the brakes on the front of the lemon sorted so now got all them mounted

well i fixed the rear brakes on my dads vx cruiser which included a second hand rear calliper as his one was shagged,new pads front and rear,then managed to get my PTO onto the missile and even managed to give the garage a bit of a tidy up....waiting for the rest of my parts to turn up still ...hate waiting

i didn't get much done on my wagon this weekend did get a ride with wopass and dieselboy up to auckland to get a winch drum and stuff.
now i have to clean it up and figure out how to drive the dam thing have to decide what size pump and motor to use and work out where i am going to mount all the necessary bits and pieces i.e. valves and tanks maybe even an oil cooler.
also did some more online research about the turbo i was planning on bolting to my current engine have discovered that the turbo charged engines have a different lubrication which cools the pistons so i am better off to get the spare motor fixed and then do an engine swap

I had a busy weekend working on the truck(V6 Surf):

1). put second hand 50mm lift springs and second hand rancho 5000 shocks in the back of my surf was wrapped with the amount of lift it gave me not too bad for $10.50 on trade me

2). priced up finishing off my exhaust mod 2 1/4 inch pipe with a free flow muffler from the pigtail joins back - $280 - $300

3). priced up fixing the noise in my cam housing (presumably a tensioner bearing) worst case scenario with cam belt, water pump, and all bearing replaced -$600 - $700

4). My flat mate won an auction for an intercooler and bonnet scoop for his MU so we did some preparation work measuring up for the cut in the bonnet when that arrives this week.

So a busy weekend with some potentially expensive work coming up damn it!

Yeah that place is cool, pity I missed most of it and pit I only got to skid round in 2WD but the Sausages were yum and your old mans garage rocks!

Bastard of a weekend.

Spent the best part of Saturday making some small changes to the front end of the GQ, took it for a test drive and know i can't turn corners.

Well, I finally screwed the new toilet down to the floor... Only been meaning to do that for around 3 months Killed several masonry bits getting 4 holes through the tiles and concrete tho... damn I love steel... holes in steel are easy.

Also helped make a boat trailer for a local engineer, then went to bunnings and bought a new Chubb extinguisher for the MU for the mudplug that I don't need it for for another 2 months Damn, that about 6 pies worth of money I could have saved!

went snowboarding on sat then sunday i pulled the transfer case out of the surf as my dual case adaptor arrived last week and am gona start pulling apart my donor case this week
