Snorkel flexible tubing

Post by Mattman »

I have just about finished fitment of an Airflow snorkel and am not really a fan of the flexible tubing they have used.

Does anyone have any recommendations on anything suitable? Links to anything?

Cheers
Matt.

If you have a Blackwoods Paykels near you they sell flexi wire reinforced tube and alot of other Engineering goodies that could come in handy hose clamps etc.

Cheers.

Thanks guys. THey have supplied that black tubing which is wire wound but I wonder about the durability of it.

It will be going through the inner guard hole and I don't want it to wear down and puncture. Due to the layout of the inner guard it's impossible to protect it.

Might check out the flexible exhaust tubing.

Cheers
Matt.

Id seriously doubt that stainless flexi would be completely waterproof, it doesnt last that long on trucks in the exhaust system

Non-toxic spiral-flex or marine water hose used for suction.
That's what I used cause it was just lying around the workshop.

Excuse the dust on filter (summer time at woodhill   )
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

I used 65mm downpipe sections and flexible pipe that you put in gardens for drainage the stuff that's ribbed for extra pleasure :)

Yup, on the drawing board now. When I get this 3 inch to work, I'll use the same tube just bigger direct to the turbo and pod the top instead of the top hat.

for my last one i had pretty limited room for an airbox and ended up running a pod filter in a round encloser 3 inch in and 3 inch out. Did the trick, bought it off trademe advertised as a cold air box for a honda or something else funny

The hole in the guard should have had some rubber edging applied to it, to stop it chaffing
