I'm not going to be able to do any trips for the rest of the month (and probably most of next month) :( but atleast when I'm back out, I'll have more traction and power steering

Odlins road may be a goer if this weather keeps up and dumps plenty of snow up there.
Anyone in Upper Hutt or Waikanae know if the Akatarawa Hill Road is open at the moment?

I am keen either way. Got a brand new set of mud tyres I haven't used in anger yet. Was a bit peeved off at being sick last weekend and missing out on Aotea so am looking forward to some mud this weekend.

bubba,
what time you going to go down?

the gate is locked, but there is access through an opening, but if you are caught in there without a key or permission, you could get into alot of trouble, depending when you wanted to go, i could come and meet you there an unlock the gate.

my cell number is 0272158399 if you wanna meet up, otherwise il be there from roughly about 6:45ish onwards, but will come back to the gate at about 7pm to unlock/wait for people.

was a good night, bit longer than anticipated though  Sitting in a bog hole, that I didnt want to enter but had no choice in the end, for two hours wasnt that appealing though. That block and its hill climbs are sooo o much more fun in the wet......just not the holes designed for short wheel base vehicles. A little mishap with a sliding zuk with a battering ram on the front has acclerated the need for a front winch bar now though and new headlight. If anyone knows where to get a cheap head light for a 93 surf from dont hold back

yep, another good night out.
the weather made it quite a bit more interesting too, i really need to get new tyres on the hilux so i can have a bit of fun without sliding everywhere.

might be time to get some winches as well and a couple of anchors.
