hilux Guru's help please

pretty sure the head has blown in my 1991 petrol hilux
i have a 4y in the old girl atm and have a 3y sitting in the garage the question is will a 3y bolt in place of a 4y.

that was getting put back in my truck the other weekend till they realised I had the gearbox crossmember and I'd dissapeared off into the bush for a week

well truck is in the garage getting clean out
my mate went to put some fuel in it the other night and the petrol attendent put deisel in it
instead of petrol. then the guy who put it in denied doing until they saw they video.
they have come tothe party and are cleaning it out for me
