BEWARE OF SCAM ARTIST SCUM

Post by flyingbrick »

Anyone offering you a part and who wants money via western union is a fraud. I know this is obvious to most people- however I have been targeted after my WTB add on here so thought i'd make a post about it.
phone Ross Bolus (secretary of the BOP club) He'll save you.

Western Union is a legitimate way of sending money however its not meant to be used for online purchasing from people you don't know.
I'm sure I've seen somewhere on the site warning not to do this. Its easy to avoid.
We've used em to send money overseas... easy as.

I had a good one at work recently asking if we brake repairs. A deaf guy who was in hospital at the time, (was only able to correspond via email because of this) wanted to get the brakes on his 2007 Honda Accord done by us when it arrived in NZ. It was with a private shipping company in the US who did not accept credit cards. As a favour would I take his card and then wire money to the shipping agent :)

I played with him for a couple of days with to and fro emails (may put onto one of the scam sites) until he finally gave up on me .. I enjoyed getting some return.

Western union is great for sending money to people you know. I hate scam artist scum. They prey on the weak.
