Yesterday i flushed out my radiator as it had nasty water in it. Got it all clean, and filled back up. But on the way home today it was just up over half temp. Turned the truck off after a while too cool(which it didnt) and could hear bubble leaking from top radiator hose, tightened up and its gone. But i took the overflow out and water is fine, but its cold, Im guessing the radiator cap is buggered?

My Mistral did the same n i was told to check out the injector pump filter which i did n it was clogged up to hell n back once cleaned out going up the same hill the temp hardly moved.
It may pay to check it out if u need to know how to find it let me know.

Hey mate yeah that would be good to know, I'd like to give it a clean even if its not the issue. I just thought if it was getting hot the water would go into the overflow but it didnt.

stupid question but did you bleed all the air out of the system??

Yeah i got all the air out. It hasnt done it again so it might of fixed itself? lol ill see how it goes.

could always check the thermostat? My safari was overheating recently and i changed that and it was sweet

Im pretty sure my thermostat is stuck open, cos before it overheated it would take bloody ages for it too heat up.

replace it or test it, hope you put anti freeze not just strait water back in?

Yeah hopefully i can test it sometime this week. Na it just got water at the moment. But if it starts running all good i will chuck antifreeze in it.
