with all this time I now have on my hands courtesy of the quake, i though id do a filter oil change on my 4dr5 almost vintage jeep, that was easy, it's blowing white smoke when I start so thought id change the glow plugs, now you can all start laughing, I've had diesels for ever but always had stuff done at the shop, when I look at the engine i thought there would be something that looked like the arse end of a spark plug with a lead going to it, but everything is covered by nuts or something, id hate to undo the injectors lol or something else.
where are the little buggers and are there so do's and donts ( god I miss the farm when I was 18 cars and motorbikes so easy )...

On most vehicles the glow plugs are nestled in beside the injectors and are connected by a flat metal strip with the power feed wire (single core ) connected to the front end or the back end by the fire wall.
The Injectors will have 2 tubes going to each one, one of these is commonly linked to each injector and the other from each injector will go to the injector pump.
I have not seen any that have a wire to each individual glow plug.
Hope this helps ...
