I have a 413 with a 16v injected escudo motor in it,
great truck, but not that fond of water, any Idears on how to change that would be much appreiated.
Whats the best spray to use 4 the eletrics?
I use a blind, and fit a glove to the distributor.
Thanks

what i did to my bush truck was
No 1 most important
ADD A SNORKEL
add a bead of silicon around the top of the sparkplug rubbers, (they dont keep water out very well)
like you added a glove to distributor cap
added a thin alloy shield over the coil pack
got 2 cans of "softseal" and spryed it over every wire and join i could find including the HT leads, made a big diff in waterproofing
have a can of wd40 and spray liberally before playing in mud holes

It already has a snorkle, done the silicon and sheild,
where would I buy the softseal from? I already have CRC but is wd40 better? Cheers

Electrical grease. Unplug the plugs put grease in and reconnect.

Agree, snorkel is the No.1 must do.
Softseal is magic, and I also tend to use silicone spray as a pre-trip treatment, rather than WD40 or CRC. I think it repels water better, but always carry WD40 for displacing water if it does get in (and it always seems to after a while!!)

good to a trade store that do electrical stuff like Mastertrade, Stewarts, etc. Look for 'Cable glide'. its a silicone based spray that is quite hard to wash off in water. Just spray it every where before a day out and no troubles.

agreed, however! make sure you do one plug at a time and start it each time. When you do 35 odd connections and then the truck doesnt start its a bitch finding out which one has the shit connection

. Its called dielectric greese.
