I traded in the 89 Mitzi for a 97 Jeep.
Cost me 6k.
Just drove it from Nelson to Chch. 12L per 100ks. Stoked.
Brought it to stay up in Nelson to run around in as well as help put the boat in and out of the water.

I found out today that Jeeps are cool. I managed to get the cruise control working.

keen to hear how you get on with it, thought it would be much worse on gas, i have looked at them as a family/camping/jetski tow wagon. keep us updated..

Haha I've been there Pete until I had to start fixing the bloody thing all the time
Hence why i started driving a cruiser again

So far (as Turoa pointed out). I've had a small hickup with the front right CV. But apart from that, things seem to be fine. The motor oil before I had the it and filter changed looked blacker than black. The air filter looked like it was the original one.
There's a leak in the power steering hoses some where. But hey, for 6k, what do you expect?
