Hey guys thanks for pulling me out :-) and not charging the 8K you threatened me with. I still blame Bob for saying have a go....

I've asked Jono to email me pics and I can upload, will get charlies off his camera later.

Good day all, cheers... see ya next time. Better not be 5 years eh jon.....

PS: btw that pic of tu's and bob, its tus that got stuck first then bob got stuck pulling him out, then we had me winching them both out :- )

Only got one stuff alternator and a snapped winch cable....

Sending Bill some images now so he can load them up.

Knowing Bill from old, I should never have suggested he see if Siverstones and twin lockers would get him through that hole in an 80!

Now if I had had the simex's on the Prado and the hubs had been working .....

It was good fun

Cheers for the day.

Good on ya Bill
One day I must learn how to post piccies!

Tu's took a couple of these shots tu. ))

Got some new lecky hubs now but yet to get them modded or to problem solve the real issue.

Took my new 2wd ute right up to my ski area yesterday, 1850 metres.
200kgs of gear on the back had the LS diff working hard to get where I wanted but it did it, even with a horribly high 1st gear.

Today on the same stretch of very steep track the traction was non existant.
Backing down was errr interesting! 300m vert drop off one side.
ABS not helping and the front end just sledging rather than steering. Roll back only 2 to 300mm, apply brakes gently and all 4 wheels sliding another 300.
Repeat ad infinitum.
Stop, get out, breathe, start again
Repeat

Tomo eve I think I will look at my 4wd hubs!
Then I can send the right bits off to OldBlue to sort.
