hi, i have just brought a 3dr escudo, i have fitted some 31"s i had here on 8" rims, the tyres are close to the rear of the front guards, would a body lift be better or a suspension lift? or both?
if i body lift how do bolt it back down when i put my blocks in? as it had studs not bolts thanks

My 31 mudstars rubbed all over the show. Will depend on your offset though. Whats it like when its flexed up crossaxled and the steering at full lock?
can do a small BL and keep the stock mounts. It will help a bit.
I cut the front guard outers back a bit and beat the firewall with a hammer to give the tire a bit more room.
Lifting an escudo means balancing multiple evils. cv angle vs clearance basically. 2in is all I'd do or do the cheap vitara lift from off here combined with a BL to suit the stock bolts.

How much lift had you done when you tried the mudstars?

I lifted my son's 3 door last year and made 50mm nylon spacers and bought (off the shelf) 8mm female/ male stud extentions that screwed straight on to the existing studs. The centre hole of the blocks was made to suite the new fatter extention and it took 4 hours all up on my own to the do the job at home on the floor with one jack.

Have a look.

The cheap vitara lift. Beat the firewall a bit and stuck a small BL in and it fixed it.
