Re: Samurai playing up
Get a can of engine start
With the engine running selectively spay it at a vacuum line , vsv Valves etc.
If their is a leak the engine should pick up in revs when you spray the right area.
Other things to check is the one way valve into the brake booster
That the acelerator cable isn't Jamed and not allowing proper idle or that the the egr valve is jammed open or vapor canister blocked.
Down load the FSM from suzukiinfo.com
will give you all the tests for all the carb and vacuum components.most are easy to diagnosis

Re: Samurai playing up
That sucks, hope it doesn't cost too much or it might be time to put that 1600 in
Re: Samurai playing up
All good advice here, I've noticed my motorbikes often idle high when the fuel is running out, so it sounds like fuel starvation is probably causing all your problems. Not that hard to take the carb moderately apart and just clean everything out with some clean petrol. Good luck!
