Manawatu - 99 Grand Vitara

Hi, just bought my first 4wd, a 99 Grand Vitara. Just want to use it for fishing and hunting trips, nothing too gnarly as I'm new to off-road driving. Joined up here to get some information about how to look after my vehicle and how to get into driving off road. Cheers.

Quite a few good guys round that area, so you should be in good hands.

Thanks all!

Hey Andrew which club is it you belong to? The Manawatu one? Have been meaning to join a club, are you guys able to take out complete newbies and teach us how not to get stuck or trash our vehicle?! Also for my insurance I apparently have to be an 'official' member of an offroad club, which I need to sort out asap. Cheers.

Sounds good man, wouldn't mind having a crack sometime. Next 3 weekends busy with family stuff but no plans for May as yet, PM me if you've got going out, I would love to tag along.

My name's already on the list to go again!! :D

Was a good trip last time, a bit slow with the soft sand causing a few recoveries though!!

Should be harder packed sand this time, and leaving at about 1pm it shouldn't be too late getting back this time.
(Or at least I hope not as I don't have a roof/doors etc  )

Be good to see some new faces out and about, make sure to introduce yourselves!
