TD42 Inline Pump 2nd hand price.

Hey.

Just working out a budget for turboing the Patrol.

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on what the full setup to convert from Rotary to Inline would be worth?

More after what people are willing to pay rather that any ridiculous prices they have been listed for.

I have read they are awesome for running alternative fuels due to being oiled from the motor rather than diesel, and will outlast a rotary due to no low sulphur diesel stuffing seals (again due to the oiling system).

Not so good for turbos though unless you have a big wallet. =/

inline fuel pump? piece of cake.

you want a bosch or wilbrough pump from either a holden comodore of the 87 era or nissan skyline etc etc etc etc.

2 wires a fuse and might aswell do the fuel filter while you are at it.

bout 80 to 120 for the pump from a wrecker, inline fuel filter 10, wiring and fuse etc 20 ish and a couple of 9/16 hose clamps

i think hes meaning diesel injection pump not petrol fuel pump.

Yup diesel injection pump. You also need/comes with:

4 stud backing plate
Inline drive gear
Injector lines and supporting blocks
Pump support bracket
Butterfly housing for air intake and the required air box to match
Lift pump housing

I have not had the two different pumps side by side but these are the differences I have found listed on Patrol 4x4.

I'd like to say custom but it is more a bitsa

Not sure on the actual turbo yet as that depends on the budget but aiming for a decent Garrett. Going to do a bit of a ring around next week.
Will post up a bit about it once its all together if anyone is interested but it isn't going to be anything ground breaking.
