Weird brake problem...... It goes hard !

Hi Yah All...Did that subject get your attention

Ok heres the go..

Some months back I had a line burst in the brakes... Pedal went soft and to the floor.
Changed the hoses and also changed the master cylinder seals and full system bleed. Starting with Master cylinder and then working my way around from rear to front.
New fluid flush etc etc.
Pads all good and no binding issues.

Brakes felt the best they have in years....

No heres the kicker.

After a days 4x4ing (not hard yakka) the trip on the way home on highway the brakes apply at just the gentlest push of the pedal....

Normally you get some slight softness as you push the pedal till they slowly apply pressure... but it just comes on strong from the go.

By the time I get home they feel "normal again"

I think it may be an issue with the booster but its strange that it still brakes good... no extra effort required.

Any ideas??

Calvin

Sorry KZJ78...Prado 1KZTE diesel.

Yes it does and was bleed at that point too.
And its not used i.e disconnected but locked as if its seeing full weight.

Never been an issue before hose burst (i.e been like that for 6 years)

Disc or drum rear? If its drum rear crap in the drum, including just water can do that as it shorterns the distance the slave cylinders have to move, get better as what ever is in there breaks down, drys out, wears your pads.

Disc rear no ideas here

Discs all round.

Seems funny it does it after an off road trip...
Will pull each of the wheels off again and take a looksie.

Stranger still its does it only after the repairs and bleed bleed and rebleed.
