ripped out the carpet and front seats of the Saf, first job is to seam weld the firewall to floor joint to get rid of that %^$ &***^ (( ^%%^ ^#%%@$ #*^# @&##(@& ^#^# ^#^@&@ #^@ #*@* #&#&@& (( @&^^# clonking/thump/clank/knock under my feet once and for all

Next thing is to fit a set of Toyota Corolla Bucket seats out of the Mrs old red Car. the original Saf Seats are HORRIBLE and really uncomfortable on a long trip.

Just finished a bit of touch-up painting to get the Truck ready for the Sign writers, Mondays the official opening of my new Business!!

Got the exhaust on the Lada finished. Has 2 leaks, so I went and got exhaust flexi-wrap stuff from SCA, at half price. Had deep-dish rear rubber mats at Repco for $10 each, so got a couple of those, to use in the Fiva (but also for the Lada in the meantime).

SO it's definitely closer to a WoF now...

Just make sure you use original seat mounts other wise you could run into certifcation issues for your next WOF

Thanks monstr, Discussed the subject with the WOF man when I got one last Wednesday, got him to pull up the regs and what I can and cant do  , Told me the same thing the original seat mounts must remain unmodified.

thankfully I dont need to modify the rails at all in fact the same mod for the Subaru seats will work for the Toyota ones  Basically Im not interested in any Mods that require a cert, the Saf goes well enough for the sort of 4wding I do these days (other than a front locker that is) But my god factory Safari seats are uncomfortable!

Spent various parts of the weekend feeding more 12v to my winch to run the second motor. Farken 95mm cable sux to work with over short distances. 10ish hp 8274 should darg the chopped up zook around ok. Guess I'll find out next friday stage 1 Superwinch Tuff truck
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

Put some wheel spacers on to stop the tyres hitting the guards.

Image

It doesn't hit anymore as it sits right outside the guard so really pleased with the result.
Increased my width by about 4m also well which is great for frontal rollover protection.
Don't need a cert for it either as I'm gong to weld them to the brake rotor so it looks factory.

Yeah man but only after I give it a 10" lift (it won't roll over from this because I'm going to store my pies in the foot well instead of the center console to keep the cog low). I've been thinking about making it 1 wheel drive as well to keep things challenging.

FYI I'm going to use ORANZ approved Pam's Mince and Cheese pies because I have a mate whos real good with a microwave that recommends them.
