air filters and air filter housings

i was wondering how much is a replacement element for a toyota landcruiser air filter
i'm asking because the one in my wagen is about $90 to replace and i was thinking of putting in an air filter assembly from something a little more common and easier to get hold of in the hope it may be a little cheaper
