Electrical problem

Hi
Today my indicators just stopped working on my 89 Escudo, and my emergency light only blink once when I turn them on. Any ideas of where to start looking would be very helpful.

always start at the fuse are they ok? is there power going to them?
same sorter thing happed to missus car turned out to be the falsher box (think thats wat its called)

Cheap?; Yes
Easy to get?; Yes
Where is it on truck?; Dunno

from what i have been told the indicator flasher is by inside fuse box (drivers side kick panel) and/or behind radio and blower motor. been told one is for hazards other is for indicators might be rong but thats where i would start looking
