Well there was a guy who was selling one on TradeMe a little while ago. I would think it would destroy cv's whenever you put your foot down. turbo wise I looked at it and talked to a few people and they said they had some fairly serious problems, cant for the life of me remember them now.
oh and cam wise you cant go past mild as in the g16's the rockers dont like it. Well thats what a guy in my club said happens, after he tried it on his own zuk. (his job is cam grinding)

sr20dets dont like old oil or not having regular oil change, the oil feeds to lube the cams block up and you can have cam issues.
bearing in mind my flatmate has one in his Silvia drift car that only goes on the track and has had a hiding non stop for last sort of 4 years. in my mind bloody good engines.
but maybe not for a 4wd..

Basically yes you need to keep the oil very clean and fresh to prevent blockages. the only thing is that it would probably be to powerful for the Suzuki drive-line to handle it. I standard spec sr20det might be ok if you keep your right foot light. But just be prepared to fix CV's all the time.

You coulda just bought the one that was on trademe recently. He ended up trading a terrano for it

Pretty much the exact specs your after. If you didn't sas it it would more than likely eat cv's as already mentioned. My mates one was ok but was just driven sensibly offroad. Was a weapon on the road. Ran 31 buckshots and had a heap of power. I think he started with a T25 and ended up with a T28 but had stock cams.
Its a snug fit in the engine bay too.

I have a supercharged ca18de in my 413 on hilux axles, and have busted cvs in that.
Know a guy running a turbo 1600 zuk motor in his vit and it eats cvs for breakfast lunch and dinner, got better when he had rings made to go round the outer cv, then it started on diffs.

Vitara's have weak front diff mounts and weak CV's. 150kw plus is very likely to eat them for breakfast.
I had an SR20DET in my E class rally truck with prado diffs and CV's and never broke anything, but that's a whole different proposition.
SR20's are common engines in the 4 cylinder classes in trialling. They produce good torque and seem to last OK. You do need to keep the oil clean. Another option is to drill out the oil feed holes that lube the cam lobes, as this reduces the chance of blockages.

i would'nt drill out the the oil lines in the head, as this will upset the oil pressure and if the holes are to big the oil wont make it to the last squirter which will give you a nice cam grind or a run bearing.
