Being a V6 Surf they are prone to Head gasket and or cracked head problems and White Smoke is a sure sign of Coolant entering the cylinders, more than likely it will also be starting minus some cylinders as there will be water on the spark plugs that will dry out quickly and run on all six, once running and warmed up the engine will be OK consuming a little water but you will find it will get worse and could cause overheating and eventually failure.

GET IT CHECKED,

FITZY.
