Went up the ashley today with a couple of mates, FJ40 with 350 chev,Hilux 1KZ powered double cab, and my RN46 lexus powered.
Not alot of mud but we found some to play in,numerous recoverys of all vehicles, only cos we went looking for trouble
1kz hilux started to play up,alternator not charging and a diesel bug attack, lexus hilux alternator no longer charging either landcruiser no faults all day
Lexus hilux towed the 1kz hilux back home to rangiora where the rest of the afternoon was spent drinkn jim beams,a quick trip to repco for a new fuel filter for the 1kz,and a bit of time spent cleaning out the fuel tank and lines saw it live to fight another day,just gotta pull my alternator off and fix that this week and all will be go for next time,might even wash the truck

Sounds like an awesome trip... but it didn't happen unless you have pics
