could someone tell me if the handbrake is set up on the back of the transfercase? i cant find anything conclusive online.

No the handbrake is on rear diff.
You can buy a handbrake set up for back of transfer though.

Will this need a cert and able to get a WOF,thanks.

i would think it would need a cert as youd be making mods to the truck and changing it from factory... but would your wof man or the police know the difference between stock standard and off the transfercase?
