Hi,
Have a small leak from one of my injectors. It is from the injector body joint, the one below the leak off banjo connector.
Have tried loosening the fuel line connector and banjo nut and then nipping up the top half of the injector, but only limited effect.
Leak is quite small, no effect on running (smooth and willing) and mpg ok (26-32mpg).
Any suggestions (other than changing injector !!).
regards
John

How the heck do you get 26-32MPG!! thats what i wish mine got.
As for injector, you could get a second hand one from a wrecker for $30-$60, Pretty cheap fix.

If it is the injector halves that have come loose you'll need to tighten them to a reasonable level - you may need to put it in a vice and do so to avoid overtightening the injector to head thread. I'm not sure what the specific torque settings are but a squiz around the 'net would probably reveal that. Perhaps 50-60 lbs/ft?
Also there is a small sealing washer on the return that could have failed. In mine they are a soft metal (possibly copper) which could perhaps be annealed for a better seal (although it's fairly low pressure here).
