Lokking at a LWD patrol down sydney way.

Pics look very tidy. My question is do dropboxes negate the need for adjustable panhard rods. My logic says it would, but I have never had them before so need to ask.

No, still need panhards, the boxes are purely to move the arms foward/down for castor etc, they have no control over the diff being shifted sideways due to lift.

Thanks Dave, when I thought about it more in bed going to sleep, I realised I was wrong.

I ran dropboxes and no adjustable panhards on my GQ. Most Body over chassis vehicles the body isnt square with the chassis anyway.(notice it more with a 2WD)

A 4" lift without longer panhards is very noticable, and will chew out bushings.......

It has adjustable panhards and adjustable lower trailing arms. I expect it will have a few dents within one week in my hands. She is quite a weapon alright. Just needs a winch, another tranny case or crawler gears and a fridge of course for the beer. Radio and GPs of course needed as well. Got a few steep hills in mind locally to test her out on. May well be mine in a few weeks, travelling down in two weeks as I have four days off.

1995 GQ LWB Patrol 4.2 Diesel Turbo diesel intercooled. Fully rebuild engine, 6" lift, 35" tyres, twin locked. Has about 3000kms since rebuild and comes with full receipts. I used my bike to commute so the truck only gets used for trips away. At the same time got cooling system checked and serviced as well as the starter motor rebuild. Clutch is also like new.

No expense has been spared on this 4WD.
