Lift kits for Cherokee XJ?

Does anyone know of a NZ supplier for lift kits for the Cherokee? Brands might include Rubicon Express, Pro Comp, Rough Country, Tuff Country, Rusty's, Glide Ride, Teraflex or Skyjacker? It just seems there's no-one here that stocks any. Failing that, any in Aus?

I have to go 3 - 4" as I want to put 31 x 10.5 x 15 tyres on it... ARB don't lift it that high!

Old blue may be able to help here but a freind in the Nelson club has a skyjacker kit on an XJ, it can run 35's, I'm sure it has bushwacker flares or something as well. I'm sure he imported it.

2inches is enough..... apparently ;)

Zeeber, 2 inches will do it pal. you can run 30x9.5 on it standard, so two inches will accomodate a 31x10.5 no prob. Avoid the block lift, dudes will try to say "oh but you can still use your standard shocks/springs and then its cheaper" theyre reight, you can, it is, but its crap. Go for kit with packers, springs, shocks. OME will do a kit. Guys at Waikato 4x4 (ARB)have happily given me a price. Find your local ARB dealer and have a chat.

XJ - cheers for that, I'll try the guys at Auckland 4x4 in Papakura - they are the ARB dealers looks like.
I've read about the lift blocks and know to avoid them - I lifted a few CJ's before and that was the fisrt thing I was told to avoid!
I've seen some nifty kits from dealers in the states - everything from polyurethane spacers, longer springs, add-a-leaf or whole spring packs and was hoping to find something similar here.
Does anyone have info or experience with the Simex Centipede M/T's?

Yes indeed wopass :roll: theres a market for them tyres of yours for fibrous plaster application for sure.

Is a block kit one of those eco lifts by tomken?
Obviously they would be crap compared to upgrading shocks,springs etc all at once.

Zeeber, also as an option you can try "autolign". They have just begun (last week) doing kits. I have priced a kit from them and two other specialist suppliers and are 700 to 1000 cheaper. Using munroe magnum shocks instead of Rancho or OME (depends on how serious you want to go). Cobra or Dobi springs.

Slomo, yes the tomken outfit does a range of block kits. Approx 300.00NZD and same again to get from states. Recently looked at a block kit ot compare with the springs etc and after a)listening to the dudes wanting to sell their product and B) people who have actually used them, spend the extra $$$$$$'s and save heartache in the longrun.

Just for a moment to refer back to me mentioning the munroe shocks in comparison to the rancho. the munroe magnums i can get for 155 a pair, compared to 150 each for the rancho rs9000. Now i know that you get what you pay for, but, as i said, it depends how serious you want to go. My purposes are for the occasional mud trip (should i say recovery trip) but mainly beach/sand and i suppose you could say moderate farm fun tracks. So if i wipe out a $70.00 munroe, then i dont give a jot, if i damage a 150.00 (cheap really aye) rancho, then i (ok - my wife) will be really pissed. Id love to justify having 600$ worth of shocks, but i aint gunna do it to keep up with the jones's and look pretty (some would say that is rather impossible anyway)
