Yup, I "had to" when I did my body lift because the standard airbox did not match up with the engine inlet anymore. Got very good gains between that and the new exhaust. Can post some pics if you are looking for ideas.

Yeah that'd be great. I'm just curious on what to do with the (i'm guessing) some kind of air flow meter that goes into the box that the original filter is in!

Basically I found a pod filter (at supercheap) that had the right neck size to fit straight on the standard pipe, then used a bit of aluminium to mount the far side and drilled a hole in the end to put what I think is the air temp sensor.

Sorry, I can't quite remember, best bet is to take that pipe bit into the shop with you and just push them on there until you find one that fits well.
