finally found a l300 petrol 2.4 inj 4wd 95
no money laid down yet, but should be picking it up Saturday morning, fully rebuilt engine only 8000 ks ago, receipts

I will be doing a bit of maintenance to it, needs exhaust repairs so might fit some cheap headers that are on tardme aswell..

I believe these are a Pajero chassis..
Would be good to get any info with things I should be doing to it, service wise, and any tricks to enhance these in any way keeping it reliable.

I will be fitting some 30" ats as a couple tyres are down..
will be a work wagon and camping travel wagon over the summer.

anybody have any exp with these 2.4 16 valve motors?
their 97kw motors, plenty a power, I know they have the airodynamics of a fridge but im getting shite fuel economy.
if I nana it with no towing be lucky to get 450ks, but that was once, and with a bit of towing etc, be lucky to get 350ks to a tank..

i figured being fuel inj and with so much power that the motor isnt struggling to push it along it wouldnt be too bad on fuel..

its worse than my old 3ye surf

had one as a work van a few years back, cracked the exhaust manifold as they run hot I believe. definitly worth fitting some extractors and doing a little exhaust work.
Was bloody dear on gas, thirsty as. actually wasnt bad off road. but dont try doing any sidlings with it.

need to replace front left lower control arm bush.. its sloppy as, turns out thats where the knocking is coming from, not the 2 seized shocks with bushes gone that i replaced today

do I have to seperate both ball joints to then free up the control arms to replace the bushes??

its the bushes that link the arm to the chassis

searched here and google. and I aint done too much work on i.f.s
