Hey guys

Just wondering if theres an easy way to change my 2lte electrical pump over with my 2lt one from the old motor.

I have found this http://www.toyotadiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?p=44829#post44829

But it looks like a bit of a mission

I need to get it done asap (in the next week or so) I spent all my money buying the motor so just looking for the cheapest/fastest way to do this 8)

Cheers

Caleb

pity you are in auckland..
It is a straight forward job but it does have a couple tricky bits which do need a bit of an experts eye cast over them,..

What sort of tricky bits are there? Is that guide the only way to do it?

yours should be fairly straight forward as your surf is setup for the mechanical pump. its probably just a case of unbolt pumps and swap them over and all the intake butterfly setup. possibly the injection pipes if required. only thing i would have to check is if the 2lte has the timing marks.

To unbolt the pumps I guess its a cambelt off job still? Theres no easy way around that?

Are you meaning the cam timing marks or the pump timing marks?

Changed pump over to mechanical, changed cam belt, timed all and adjusted fuel pump timing with a DTI gauage. Just got to change clutch and flywheel, pulleys and belts and It'll be good to go.
Welcome Caleb 8)
